The Course

If you hold a HND (Higher National Diploma) and you’d like to get a full honours degree in just a year, we’ve designed our one year top-up for you. Our course is made up of two 30 credit modules, enabling you to concentrate on fewer modules at one time.

You will study the theory and practice of accounting and financial management. You will develop an understanding of ethical principles and dilemmas to create effective solutions. Our course is designed to develop your employability skills, such as evaluation of data and how best to use contemporary information and communications technology. You will learn how to use leading accounting software used in the workplace, and the most up-to-date knowledge on tax and accounting standards.

• Course is accredited by both ACCA and CIMA
• At the end of your chosen course, you will be well equipped to work within banking and finance, accounting practice, business and tax consultancy.

Entry Requirements

Pearson or SQA HND in Accounting. An equivalent Level 5 qualification awarded by bodies such as ABE, CIM, NCC, ATHE may also be accepted.

We also accept comparable overseas qualifications, such as the Chinese Dazhuan Diploma.

Applicants who have successfully completed the first two years of a three-year degree, or three years of a four-year degree may be eligible.

For international applicants, if your first language is not English, you will require Academic IELTS at 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each category).

You will also need to attend and pass an interview.
